In a large bowl add flour, sugars, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Set aside while you mix the wet ingredients.
In bowl of stand mixer or using a large bowl with hand mixer add browned butter than is cool, milk, sourdough discard, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs and vanilla extract. Mix ingredients until they are well mixed and creamy.
Begin to add in the dry ingredients a little at a time until all has been added. Beat well.
Stir in chocolate chips and chopped pecans by hand. Cover dough and refrigerate for 2-3 hours to chill the dough.
Cover baking sheet with parchment paper and being careful not to place cookies too close together, drop cookies by spoon onto parchment paper. (I used about 1/2 tablespoon of dough for mine)
Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. Since ovens bake differently, watch to make sure they don’t get too brown.
Remove from oven and transfer cookies to cooling rack. Makes about 6 dozen cookies. Enjoy! Recipe by Carolyn
